Photogrammetric Mapping

Photogrammetry is the science of making accurate measurements from photography.  Geometrics uses this technology to provide a variety of aerial mapping which is used for engineering site plans, marketing products, GIS data, development planning, and more

Services

Geometrics operates state of the art softcopy workstations capable of performing any photogrammetric task.  Our software includes the DAT/EM photogrammetric suite, Microstation, and AutoCAD.  GeoMetrics has the resources to exceed your mapping needs.

Aerial Photography

Geometrics provides accurate aerial photography that can be used for marketing material, digital imagery, or detailed mapping.  Proper flight planning is critical.  Wooded areas may need to be photographed in fall or spring when the leaves are off of the trees so that features hidden by foliage are visible.

Stereo Compilation

Photographs are oriented using sophisticated techniques such as aerotriangulation so that they can be viewed using a state of the art stereo compiler.  Features are then mapped from the 3D stereo imagery.

Topographic Maps

Geometrics has performed numerous detailed topogrpahic maps for engineering and architechtural applications.

Orthorectified Imagery

Orthorectified images are scaled and oriented to represent the area they show. These images have many uses and can be used as a background to overlay other mapping products.

 

GIS products

Geometrics provides GIS base map products. Stereo digitizing can also be performed to update recently developed areas.

DTM/DEM

Digital Terrain Model (DTM/DEM) data has many uses. Geometrics extracts and creates this data. These models can be used for volume calculations, contours, and more.
