CONSULTATION, TRAINING AND EQUIPMENT RENTAL
 GeoMetrics provides geodetic consultation in the planning,
execution, and delivery of your project. Our experienced team designs the
project in full compliance with Federal Geodetic Control Subcommittee (FGCS)
specifications and procedures. We provide complete training and rental of all
Trimble GPS equipment and software including geodetic grade receivers (Trimble
4000, 4400, 4600, 4800), mapping grade receivers
(Trimble Pathfinder, ProXR, Geo Explorer, Aspen)
and GPSurvey, Pathfinder Office, Trimmap, Trimnet, and Geolab software.
Our satisfied past clients include: New York, Minnesota, Pennsylvania and
Connecticut Departments of Transportation, the Environmental Protection
Agency (EPA), The Soil and Water Conservation Service (SCS), the National
Forest Service (NFS), National Park Service (NPS) and many other County and
Municipal Agencies.
CONTROL SURVEYS
 GeoMetrics is recognized as a leader in geodetic control surveys
throughout the United States.
We install stable and permanent marks such as 3-D stainless steel rod
monuments, poured in place reinforced concrete monuments with brass disks,
and tablets drilled in bedrock. We are experienced with the design,
logistics, and analysis of large geodetic networks in a variety of terrain.
We perform observations using high quality geodetic GPS and conventional
terrestrial survey equipment such as Trimble 4000 dual frequency GPS
receivers, Wild T-3 astro-geodetic theodolites, electronic total stations and precise
digital levels with Invar rods.
We have successfully established high (B) Order GPS networks and lower
(First and Second) Order GPS and conventional horizontal and vertical
control. Our projects are frequently formatted (Bluebooked) and accepted by
the National Geodetic Survey (NGS) for inclusion in the National Spatial
Database.
Some of our past projects include the Al-Manqaf
(Kuwait), Clark County (OH), Tohono Indian
Reservation (NM), Pacific Gas and Electric Pipeline (OR), Spotsylvania County
(VA), Virginia/West Virginia State Boundary Line, and U.S. Route 30 Corridor.
GPS COMMUNITY BASE STATION
 GeoMetrics operates a GPS base station service in Fredericksburg,
Virginia. We operate the base station as
a community service to improve the quality of surveying and mapping efforts
in our region. There is no charge for the data. Both carrier phase and code
data are logged on a dual frequency geodetic grade GPS receiver. Data is
normally logged during regular business hours. Additional data collection may
be arranged through special request. Data may be obtained by sending your
request to us.
OTHER GPS APPLICATIONS
GeoMetrics uses the Global Positioning System (GPS) to accomplish a
variety of other geodetic applications including Hazardous Waste Surveys,
Airborne GPS, Real Time Kinematic (RTK) Surveys, Hydrographic Surveys and
Location Surveys.
